Hey everybody. I'm use this ning.com site for an online study group with a bunch of guys that I know; it's a blast, and we sometimes have way too much fun.

There are 4 different ways to communicate on here, and at first it's a little confusing.

This is a discussion, so there is a forum. Basically you start your own topic and if somebody wants to answer, they will. Good luck!

There are a few groups. You may have discussion inside the groups. You may start new groups of your own, although I'm unsure what they could be. But I could think of some with funny names, I assure you. Therefore in the groups you can generate multiple topics on a theme.

For example, I've posted some articles from the Shatagee Woods blog on here in hopes of generating discussion, or creating a new type of interactive history on here, something that's not really been done before.

I could easily see historical groups from Chateaugay and Lyon Mountain congregating here with one another. Alas, nobody from Bellmont!

Tch Tch.

I've been leaving comments on people's pages; just remember that if you answer somebody, if you comment on your own page...they may not see it for awhile (a word to the wise here!), so make sure you comment on THEIR page! This is for the technology challenged among us who just don't quite got the hang of this yet.

Which is fine, actually.

Lastly, you can send someone a private message (PM) woo hoo. Go to their page, and there is a link under their photo or whatever they're using as an avatar.

I encourage people to share their area photos. Be warned that if you upload something that unless you make it private that everyone can see it and it may be on the front page slide show, although it only holds 50 pictures.

Most of all, have fun!
